2 hours & $50 later

2 hours spent on Amazon.com, $50 from my PayPal account, some printing of a free resource to put together an English book and I have this semester’s curriculum! So, don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t homeschool on a budget. Sure there’s some things that I didn’t get and really wanted but that’s life. We always want things and can’t always get them. I’m happy with what we’ll be doing and how my daughter is actually ahead even with all of my “cutting corners.” She wouldn’t have been entering Kindergarten in the school system until this year because of when her birthday falls but she’s doing 2nd grade work in a lot of areas. The point here is this: You don’t have to spend $300+ on curriculum to homeschool. You just need to spend time, be innovative and have a library card for the books that you want but have no need to buy. I’d love to hear how much you’ve spent and any great tips you have for this school year.

P.S. When will back to school be for you? It’s August 13th for us :-)
