Homeschooling Advice

…and surprisingly things went rather smoothly. My daughter got up, got ready and did her work with only a little prompting from me. The idea of rewarding her with 1 penny per worksheet done without hastle went over quite well. I know that the real reward should be in the learning itself but that’ll come with time, I’m sure. For right now though, I honestly think that we’re off to a good start. I ordered 2 more workbooks last week as additional “helpers” and those both arrived today too, which is great since I used the 1 today and didn’t need the other 1 yet. So, I’ll open it up and peruse it tonight - maybe even start using it tomorrow depending upon whether it fits into what we’re doing right now or not. I’m surprised at how easily things are going and how smoothly it looks as though this school year is going to go. Now if I could just get her to get into and out of the shower so effortlessly, things would be wonderful here LOL However, I swear that I do have a fish - ever since she’s been a baby she’s been drawn to them so I guess she’s just starting to really take after them now.
