Why I firmly believe that our public schools are prisons

Many people who send their children to public schools often think that I am crazy when I compare those schools to prisons. However, if you stop to think about what a prison really is, you will see what I mean… A prison is a place where people are locked up against their will because of crimes that they have committed. While our children haven’t committed any crimes their lives and their freedom are still being taken away from them as they are being placed inside of a small room and made to do work that they detest while forcing them to associate with dangerous prisoners (i.e. bullies, drugs, etc.) while being removed from everything they enjoy and everyone who loves them.

I will no longer apologize for the fact that I see this as harsh punishment for our innocent children. They are being forced to spend 8 hours a day, 5 days a week in these environments and then we wonder why they are so angry or why they act out so harshly. It is because our children are completely innocent victims of the local government and public school authorities who think that they are doing what is best for our children.

Many parents allow this to go on without ever giving it any thought and others believe they have no choice, which is wrong. In today’s society parents can choose to give their child a fun, quality, rewarding, low-cost education via homeschooling. So, the next time that your child tells you how much they hate school, listen to them and remove them from the educational prison that they are in.
