Should everyone homeschool?

Many homeschooling families believe that everyone should homeschool while others believe that homeschooling is only beneficial to a few select families. In my opinion though, there are very few children who would not truly benefit from homeschooling. Of course, parents benefit from homeschooling too.

So, how do parents benefit from homeschooling?

Lots of parents undergo dramatic changes through homeschooling. They become more mature as they build a closer relationship with their children. Herein they get to learn to respect and learn from their children, which is something that will not happen in a traditional school setting. Of course, this does not necessarily mean that this will happen for all families. Nevertheless when it comes to one-on-one learning, a child’s most important interactions are with their own parents.

So, can everyone benefit from homeschooling? Yes.

Is everyone able to homeschool? No.

Should everyone attempt homeschooling? Yes. There are a lot of people who would be very successful at homeschooling their children. This is because there really is a lot of help available today. However, this does not mean that you have failed if you decide to send your child to public school.
