Homeschooling on a budget
July 15th, 2007 (Homeschooling Curriculum: Lesson Plans And Tips)
If you have seen how expensive pre-packaged curriculum is, you may be discouraged about homeschooling your children. Well, you should know that you do not have to pay for this curriculum if you are willing to invest some of your time instead. Here is what you will need to do:
- Decide upon what you will teach your your children. Pre-packaged curriculum lays this all out for you, but you can actually find this information for free online.
- Figure out how you are going to teach these things. In order to do this you should visit your local library or go online in search of ideas. Here all you will have to do is pay for copies or paper for printing. You can also purchase workbooks at the dollar store for your children to use.
- Visit your local dollar store to pick up your supplies. Make sure that you also take advantage of any back to school sales if you need to purchase something that you cannot purchase at the dollar store.
In this way you will only spend a small amount of money while providing your child with a great homeschool education. You will just have to be both resourceful and creative.
